Application Process

Learn more about the Marine Corps Intelligence application process.

We evaluate you based on how well you meet the qualifications of the job announcement. Once the announcement is closed, we evaluate the entire application package, which includes your resume, supporting documents and responses to the assessment questionnaire to determine whether you meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

When you apply, it is important for you to carefully review and follow all instructions provided in the job announcement. Errors or omissions may affect your eligibility.

Applying

If you're interested in applying for a Marine Corps Intelligence job, you can start by creating a USAJOBS account. Once you've created your account, you can search for the job you want and review the application requirements listed in the job announcement.

Next, you'll need to upload your resume, making sure to include all relevant information such as your job titles, duties, accomplishments, education and certifications. We suggest you use the Resume Builder on USAJOBS to save time and ensure your resume is formatted correctly.

Additionally, you may upload supporting documentation such as a cover letter, your most recent performance appraisal, DD-214, SF-50 or any other documents that confirm your eligibility for the position you're applying for.

Screening & Interview

An online questionnaire will assess your eligibility and experience for the position. We’ll then review your questionnaire, job application, resume and qualifications. If you meet the requirements of the job announcement, we will contact you for a video, phone or an in-person interview.

Selection

If you are selected, a conditional job offer of employment will be extended after the interview. If you accept, you will need to complete an SF-86 (Questionnaire for National Security Positions) and go through the security clearance process.
